5 Simple Hanukkah Crafts for Kids to Make

Paper Dreidel

Materials:

  • Template by Mr. Mintz (download)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Toothpick

Hanukkah Crafts for Kids

Directions:

  1. Download template by Mr. Mintz.
  2. Cut out dreidel all along the outside edge.
  3. Poke a toothpick (or pencil) through the dotted circle to make a hole.
  4. Then remove it for now. Fold along all the dotted lines.
  5. Glue or tape the flaps.
  6. Push the toothpick back through the hole until the point sticks out on the bottom.

Fingerprint Hanukkiah (Special Menorah for Hanukkah)

Materials:

  • White paper
  • Colored paper (suggested blue color)
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Orange finger paint

Simple Hanukkah Crafts
Directions:

  1. Using a pencil, trace your child’s hands onto the blue blue paper with thumbs overlapping.
  2. Cut out the Hanukkiah shape.
  3. Glue paper hands onto the middle or bottom of the white paper background.
  4. Dip your child’s fingertip in orange paint to make the candlelight at the top of each candle.

  • Paint or markers (to color the crafts)

Directions:

  1. Download and print out template by Mr. Mintz
  2. Cut out the card
  3. Сolor the card as you like
  4. Fold each half of the image over the written area of the card as shown in the picture 

Recycled Menorah

Materials:

  • 8 empty toilet paper rolls
  • 1 empty paper towel roll
  • 9 popsicle sticks
  • Yellow tissue paper
  • Blue and white paint

  • Paint or markers
  • String
  • Scissors

Hanukkah crafts for kids
Directions:

  1. Download and print out template by Mr. Mintz. You can print as many dreidel templates you want to make your garland longer.
  2. Color and cut out all the dreidels.
  3. Punch a hole in the top part of each dreidel.
  4. Insert string on each hole to create a garland.
  5. Hang your Dreidel Garland onto the wall and get ready to celebrate Hanukkah!
