5 Easy and Festive Christmas Crafts for Kids

With winter break upon us and Christmas just around the corner, it’s time to embrace the festive spirit of the season. What better way to pass some chilly winter days than getting the whole family immersed in festive decorating?

Christmas crafts are a great way to entertain your little ones while letting them release their creativity. Not only does it save you the hassle of spending too much on Christmas decorations, it's also a lovely way to proudly display your children's artwork around the home.

We’ve gathered over 5 of our favorite quick and easy crafts than are great for toddlers and younger children to do.

3D Christmas Crafts

Materials:

  • Ordinary paper (use it to print out our templates with Santa, Christmas Tree, Ginger Man, Candy Canes and more)
  • Hard paper to make the background of the Christmas Eve (you can use a cardboard package, cereal box, or watercolor paper)

Easy Christmas Crafts for Kids

  • Felt pens (to color Santa, Christmas Tree, The Ginger Man, Candy Canes and more)
  • Paints (to color the background)
  • Glue
  • Cardboard (to make the holder)

Directions

  1. Download and print out the templates on ordinary printing paper. You can absolutely draw it yourself too! You can use our ideas as an example!
  2. Glue them onto the cardboard sheet or cut them out to use them as a template to draw the circles on the cardboard sheets.
  3. Next, Cut out the circles and color them with paints. Use your imagination to create a Christmas spirit!
  4. Color and cut out Christmas Tree, Ginger Man, Candy Canes, and more with felt pens. 

Easy Christmas Crafts for Kids

  1. Take the cut elements and glue them one by one to the cardboard sheets. Use our ideas for inspiration.
  2. Take any cardboard box you have at home (like a pizza box), and cut out the base for your Christmas craft.
  3. Put the Christmas craft on the holder.
  4. Place the sheets one after another. From the biggest circle to the smallest one. 

The craft is now ready! Merry Christmas! 

Christmas Coupon Book

Materials:

  • Christmas coupon book template (instant download)
  • Scissors
  • Hole puncher
  • Ribbon
  • Pencil or pen

Christmas Coupon Book

Directions:

1. Print out the Christmas coupon book template. I recommend using cardstock paper if you have them around to make the coupon book more professional-looking and durable.
2. Cut out the individual coupons and the cover with scissors.
3. Fill in what the coupons are redeemable for in the spaces provided.
4. Stack them up nicely with the cover on top. Punch two holes in the green border.
5. Tie the coupons together with a ribbon. You can staple the edges together as well if you don’t have a hole punch.
6. When redeeming a coupon, cut each coupon out. Ripping the coupon out may damage the rest of the coupon book.

  4. Fold each half of the image over the written area of the card as shown in the picture
